THE BIG PIEBACK

So on my birthday back in September, Pump and I were djing @ Fortune Sound in Vancouver and as a birthday present he gathered a bunch of my friends and decided to pie me in the face mid Wu Tang routine. This ended up costing me one Serato record, a t-shirt, and a replacement stylus. It also took me a while to clean myself up after so I could get back to making a dance party. After this incident, I knew I had to wait 5 months until I could actually get my revenge. About a week ago I hit up Pump's lady Michelle (who I can't thank enough for helping me with this), to let her know that I would be flying in from Vancouver to Calgary to pie this fool while he was sleeping. I caught the 7:00 am flight to Calgary, hopped a cab, stopped at Safeway to pick up a lemon meringue pie, got to his place at 10:30 am, PIED him at 10:34 am, and got back to the Calgary airport by 11:30 am for my flight back home. There was a slight change in plans because Pump woke up earlier than expected leaving me no choice but to just sneak up and charge at him full force. If you listen to the video closely, you can hear Pump scream in fear as it's about to happen. I think he may have thought I was one of his pissed off BBM contacts who was out to kill him for sending pics of gay porn and BBW footage.

Whats up Peoples,

Let me be the first to say Happy New Year to all our readers out there. 2010 is going to be another great year for us, and hopefully music in general. Look out for our own Ustream TV show, huge releases from Tremendous Records, Dj Pumps Sevonte Pt 2, and of course world domination from Keys N Krates.

But as for right now, lets kick off the year with a great new mix. As part of The Stylusts i was fortunate enough to be asked to be a part of The White Light Mix Series. For those that dont know, this series is all about Space & Light, and playing some lesser known electronica. I think the mix turned out great! (duh). GO OFF!! (12 DJ POSSE CUT TRACK)

Jayceeoh - Last month I was in Vancouver and was going through some new joints and came across the Go Off track... The beat to me was asking for cuts on it... I had been kickin it with my homies Hedspin and Marvel and thought, yo we should do a quick cut track over this beat ... So I chopped up the beat and sequenced it to 8-bars / hook and so forth... After we started messing with it we thought it would be dope to get a couple other people on this... So I reached out to a few people and so did my canadian comrades... Within two days I had a Dream Team of DJs on board... At that point I figured I might as well make it an even 12 DJs. Was a good number for a DJ track... Then finally on my last stop of the Canada tour I did a show with Scratch (from the Roots) in Saskatoon. I told him about the track and he was down to lay his beatbox/cuts on the intro ... Icing on the cake... This track is a throwback to the good ol days when cuts were encouraged and praised. The Roster of DJs is as official as it gets... (R.I.P. Roc Raida)

Boys Noize and Erol Alkan - Death Suite (Grandtheft Remix)

Here is concise dancefloor remix I did of a nice collaboration between Erol Alkan and Boys Noize. I kept the acid-y vibe of the OG version. But I sampled a bunch of sounds and replayed a funkier bassline. Its short and sweet. Should get ya riled up.
