Redbull 3Style Congrats!!!!

Well the Red Bull 3Style comp is sweeping its way across the nation, and The Eh! Team has been right there alongside it. Kicking off the event tour, Team Canada & Dj Illo were the special guests in Winnipeg to play an amazing party. The comp was won by Dow Jones who had the crowd going bonkers (despite playing Nickelback)! Such a proper way to get things going. Big shouts to Matt Bable, Kenny, Johnny, Felicia, Bang The Djs, and everybody else who made it pop.



Calgary was the next stop on the road, where tonnes of kids came out to Whiskey to see the madness go down. The Eh! Teams Dj Pump dropped an incredible eclectic set which helped him come in second place at the end of the night, second only to the homey Disoriental.



The Vancouver event went down this weekend and had a very impressive lineup of djs. The homies U-Tern, Marvel, Seko, Neoteric, Paul Devro and others all were on the bill, but none of them could hang with the one and only Dj Hedspin. Heds took home first prize and the paycheque of $1000. You got to check all the videos on this page cuz his set really was amazing. Non-stop energy!



Other winners so far have been Dj Murge & Dj Degree. Congrats on your win boys.

Thanks again to REDBULL for putting on such great events, and helping to push the djing industry along. Canada desperately needs more events like this!!!!!!!!!!!

Sexual Ghetto Edit

I've been holding onto this for a while, but think its about time other people started playing it too before its too late. Just kind of beefed up the original and made it a little more ghetto. Check the thumping 808's that come in when the vocal drops.

It was my pleasure of running the Truth Radio show this week again on FLOW 93.5. I decided to switch it up again by doing the first part of the show "ina di dancehall stylee", which i don't get the opportunity to do enough. Lots of layers and blends here, and then end it off with the usual hiphohp and dance chunes. Also, check the first tune on the mix, its a new partybreak i havent really brought out the stash yet. Chromeo - Fancy Footwork (GT Club Remix)

Here is a remix I have been meaning to get to for a minute. I finally did it late at night, jetlagged to all hell in Shanghai this past weekend. I know Guns N Bombs totally killed it on their remix of this Chromeo gem, but I tried to do something more stripped down. Kind of a bit more dance-y but still maintaining the new wave awesomeness of the original. I played it in Beijing at Vic's on Saturday and it went off nice.. even though many Beijing locals are probably not too familiar with Chromeo...

Okaaaay. So finally I am posting on our blog... My first post. And the first Eh! Team post in '08. I have been making alot of stuff, so yall are gonna get sick of hearing from me up here this year!! I thought I would lead off with this remix I did of High Pressure Times by The Units. Resonator Mag posted it a week or two back. My homie gave me this awesome original song that I think is from the 70s and by some band that I cant find any info on... Anyway, I freaked it. To many many more remix posts in 2008:::

Just Fine (Illo Dj Tool)

I had this song on my Truth mix, and alot of people had been asking so here it is. I know this songs a little cheesy, but i kind of like it. I took it and added a proper intro, and drums to beef it up for the clubs. Its been working well so far, cuz who doesnt like some dancey Mary J. right?
